Invisalign Instructor: When you receive a crown back from the lab, who arranges the appointment and time to deliver that crown to the patient?
Me: I’m sorry, I’m not a General Dentist, I don’t know how to answer that question.
Invisalign Instructor: So what are you? An Endodontist?
Me: I’m a Surgeon.
Invisalign Instructor: A Periodontist then?
Me: No I am an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
Invisalign Instructor: Well, I’ve been doing this a long time and this is a first. Moving on…
The iTero Element has been in our office for just a few weeks and already we have noticed so many benefits and changes to how we prepare, plan and follow up on our orthognathic surgery patients. In such a short time it has improved the care we provide on many levels. The staff and I feel that we are only scratching the surface with it too.
So, I wanted to be able to order Invisalign trays to be able to tweak some of the less than perfect orthodontic finishes with some of my past patients and so I needed to attend the orientation lecture offered by AlignTech to order the aligners.
I am not about to begin to do my own orthodontic set ups for orthognathic surgery, that’s for sure (although…maybe…nah!). Its just another piece of knowledge and a useful tool in the toolbox that will help me give my patients the results they deserve.
I love learning 😉
